Posted on August 3, 2018August 3, 2018 By Admin No Comments on Children’s Soccer Clinic Begins In Calabar

We can authoritatively reveal that the inaugural edition of the Children Summer Soccer Clinic will commence tomorrow, Saturday, August 4, 2018 and run till August, 18, 2018 at the U.J. Esuene Sports Stadium, Calabar from 9am.

Co-ordinator of programme and Scottish Football Association licensed coach, Ekanem Ekpenyong who made this disclosure to www.calitown.com insisted that the organizers have perfected plans to ensure a hitch free programme, running for two weeks.

Ekpenyong who is also a UEFA children’s coach disclosed too that the event which is organized by the Cross River State Sports Commission with sponsorship by certain individuals and corporate organizations in the State, will cater to the fledgling football needs of children aged 6-12 years and has participants drawn from different schools in Calabar. All children participating in the event will be given free jerseys and balls while they are expected to come with their socks and playing boots.

At the last count, 250 children have so far registered for the programme. “We hope to early enough, awaken and sharpen the football skills of these kids. It is also my own way of giving back to my immediate society, the training I have received as a coach. You never can tell, the next big football thing maybe among these kids”, Ekpenyong maintained.
