CONFIRMED: Former C’River Assembly Woman Is Owner Of Vehicle Used In Calabar Robbery

Posted on December 28, 2020 By Admin No Comments on CONFIRMED: Former C’River Assembly Woman Is Owner Of Vehicle Used In Calabar Robbery
The vehicle after it crashed.

Security sources inside Calabar, Cross River State appear to have confirmed the identity of the owner of a Hyundai Sonata vehicle with official government plate number, CR97-A09, suspected to have been used in a foiled robbery operation in Calabar.

While the sources specifically maintained that the owner of the vehicle is a former Cross River State House of Assembly member, Uduak Akiba, her son (name witheld) is suspected to have driven the vehicle, chased down by men of the newly inaugurated joint military/police squad, Operation Akpakwu. It was however clearly stated to www.calitown.com that the former House member was at no time or circumstance(s) linked to this incident.

The gang of six reportedly attacked a policeman at gun point last night but luck ran out of them when a nearby Operation Akpakwu detachment got the information and immediately chased after them. The chase only ended when the driver of the vehicle lost control and veered off the road into a deep gutter on the Murtala Mohammed highway, Calabar.
