CR Resident Electoral Commissioner, Mike Igini, Redeployed

Mike Igini
Mike Igini
Sylvester Ezeani the Resident Electoral Commissioner in Ebonyi State will after a brief handing over ceremony next week, assume duty as the REC in Cross River State, replacing Mike Igini who has been redeployed to Edo State by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, www.calitown.com can reveal.

Considered a hardliner, Igini’s redeployment may not be unconnected with his carpeting of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party primaries in the state. As widely reported in several media, Igini boldly described the primaries as being massively fraught with irregularities whose outcome many believe has been responsible for the massive decamping of high-profile PDP members in CRS to the Labour Party.

Political observers say the redeployment of a REC just weeks to major elections often is the beginning a calculated process to rig elections. “You will discover that as the new man comes, he will have no time to acquaint himself with the political structures on the ground, will then be at the mercy of the governor who in this instance will provide the man with the necessary logistics that INEC will not immediately provide…it is the difference between who wins and who loses”, one source told www.calitown.com.

We may enjoy all these evil methods to victory in the negative sense, we are actually victims of a future of bad government. We can’t do wrong and get it fight. Posterity will judge us all, even though I know you don’t care.
