CRSG Presents 18 SUVs To Local Govt Council Vice Chairmen

The Cross River State Government has presented 18 Geely Coolray sports utility vehicles, SUVs, to the 18 vice chairmen of local councils in the state.

State governor, Bassey Edet Otu, represented at the presentation ceremony by his deputy, Peter Odey, said the presentation represents the state government’s commitment to enhancing productivity and work efficiency at the local council level.

Odey further emphasized that since local councils play a crucial role in delivering democratic dividends, the importance of equipping them to fulfill their official duties effectively, cannot be overlooked. He urged the 18 beneficiaries to use the vehicles in diligently serving their people while fostering development.

Leonard Ogwa, Vice Chairman, Obubra Local Government Council, who responded on behalf of his colleagues, expressed gratitude to the governor and gave assurance that they will work with their council chairmen to significantly build on the governor’s achievements. Recall that the 18 council chairmen in the state, were earlier presented with their official vehicles shortly after their inauguration.

The Geely Coolray sports utility vehicles presented, are each equipped with a 1.5L Inline-3 engine, a 7-speed automatic transmission gearbox. Her safety components consist of six airbags, Automatic Breaking System, ABS, and front park assist ensuring a secure driving experience.
