The priests share the sign of peace with the bereaved familyFormer Permanent Secretary in the Cross River State Ministry of Finance, Ebri Usani Eteng, mni, yesterday, December 18, 2015, in Ugep, Yakurr LGA, buried his wife, Augusta Akpongho Ebri Eteng, in a ceremony that was attended by former CRS governor, Liyel Imoke and several other eminent Cross Riverians.

In a sermon delivered at the funeral mass at the Holy Cross Catholic Church, Ugep, Rev. Fr. Jake Otonko, who took his sermon from St. John’s Gospel 11:17-21, consoled the bereaved family and advised them to remain faithful to the promises of Christ even in the face of this tragedy.
The deceased and her niece passed away in a ghastly car crash on November 7, 2015, while travelling to Calabar.
