Ayi, who was elected as a federal lawmaker in 2003 under the Peoples Democratic Party and served until 2023, will formally register with the APC, in his local political Ward 8, Calabar South, this Sunday, December 28, 2025, in a ceremony political watchers believe will draw in a large crowd of political supporters, for a man largely acknowledged for his massive political appeal at the grassroots level.
