Less than 24 hours after the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Cross River State, made public her pick of persons to fly her flag in November’s local government elections, a former PDP senatorial aspirant in the state and development work expert, Thomas Ofem, says he has endorsed Yibala Inyang’s candidature as APC’s chairmanship candidate for Yakurr LG council.
Taking to his verified Facebook wall, Ofem, popularly known as Bob T, wrote: “When I posted this photograph from my archives, I projected internally that Yibala Inyang will get the APC ticket for the Yakurr Local Government Chairmanship position. I heard today that my projection has come true.”
“Yibala (Dombra) is an old friend of mine. He has managed himself successfully so far, and I strongly believe that he will bring his discipline, self-respect and team play to the job if he becomes our Chairman.”
“I endorse him and wish him success in the forthcoming elections”, he ended.
Recall that Ofem, during the defunct Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, era in the country, vigorously campaigned and contested for the chairmanship position in Yakurr, but appeared to have been outmanoeuvred by the PDP administration then. He also recently resigned his membership of the PDP, opting to immerse himself more in community development, tapping from his advanced knowledge of community mobilization and development.
