Girl Stabs Friend To Death In Calabar

Posted on December 13, 2019 By Admin No Comments on Girl Stabs Friend To Death In Calabar

By George Odok

A middle aged lady, identified as Monica Umoh, has stabbed her close friend, simply identified as Faith to death for dating the same married man with her in Calabar.

The incident which occured at Nyong Idibi, 2nd Transformer, Inyagasang, Calabar Municipality, is believed to have escalated when Faith discovered that her close friend whom she introduced to her man had gone behind her back to date and sleep with him, an eyewitness, Fred Imoh, told journalists.

Imoh maintains that, “a fight broke out when this two friends were having an argument over this matter. Faith (the deceased) went in search of a knife to stab Monica, but Monica was faster than her,  got a knife from her mother’s shop and in the heat of the fight she stabbed Faith just below her ribs and the deceased fell on the spot.”

“Monica ran away from the scene of the incident while Faith was bleeding profusely. Before she could be rushed to the hospital, she had already lost a lot of blood, she died before she got to the hospital. As we speak, Monica is still at large, and the man in question is not well known. We only know that he is a military personnel while the deceased has been deposited at the morgue.”

The matter is still under investigation by the police while aggrieved neighbours of the deceaed have vowed to deal with the suspect (Monica) whenever they spot her in any area in Calabar and beyond .
