Jude Ogbeche Ngaji, Cross River State Security Adviser, has resigned his appointment, www.calitown.com can authoritatively reveal. His resignation which was tendered yesterday, it was further revealed, has reached state governor, Ben Ayade.

Ngaji’s resignation is to make way for him to fulfill his long held ambition of contesting for the Cross River Northern Senatorial district seat in Nigeria’s Red Chambers. Severally, his tenure as SSA, has been hugely criticized by a large pool of Cross Riverians who held personal views that he has only but a minimal security background for the job.

On the political front, his opponents have variously submitted that Yala Local Government Area, where he comes from, has severally produced senators while Ogoja Local Government Area, has never produced one, in a pool of six LGAs that make up the senatorial district. This is the logic he is up against as he confronts his political future.
