Identity Of Cop Killed In Calabar By Cultists Revealed

Posted on October 14, 2016 By Admin No Comments on Identity Of Cop Killed In Calabar By Cultists Revealed

DSCF7072Family sources have confirmed to www.calitown.com that the police officer who was shot to death by suspected cultists around the Goldie/Mount Zion NNPC filling station has been identified as one Ibor Eteng Ewut, from Ijom, Ugep, Yakurr LGA.

Distraught family members say Ewut, a sergeant attached to the Mbukpa Police station was shot in the abdomen and killed while his service rifle was taken by the assailants who also pushed his corpse into a gutter. The killing of the cop is coming on the heels of the widely reported attack of a police convoy in Calabar by suspected cultists in Calabar South.

Security sources maintain that the killing of the cop is “another step taken too far by those committed to making our calm city unsafe. We will not rest on our oars, we will be decisive”, one top police source told www.calitown.com. For obvious reasons, www.calitown.com will not publish a picture of the deceased.
