Insider sources say immediate past Chief of Staff to Cross River State governor, Alex Egbona, who resigned his position to contest for the Abi/Yakurr House of Representatives seat, will take a major step towards actualising his ambition as he visits the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, secretariat this morning, October 8, 2014, to obtain an Expression of Interest form from the party.

An Expression of Interest form in this case is a document that formally states that an individual wants to become involved in contesting for a specific position using the party’s platform.

Egbona who is arriving the Margaret Ekpo International Airport from Abuja, will be received by a sea of supporters that www.calitown.com can say have been mobilised and will be transported to Calabar for this purpose. Egbona has been early in putting himself on the line to challenge the man who presently occupies the position, Bassey Eko Ewa, former Speaker of the Cross River State House of Assembly. Ewa presently insists that he deserves a third term in Nigeria’s lower chamber while Egbona and his supporters say the House of Representatives position must go Abi LGA.
