
Former Leader of the Nigerian Senate, Victor Ndoma-Egba, SAN, has committed to assist the Nigerian Bar Association, NBA, Ogoja Branch, Cross River State, complete its Bar Centre building project in Ogoja.
The Senator made the commitment during an inspection visit to the project site located within the premises of the High Court Complex in Ogoja.
Owing to the difficulty of completing the project, the former Senate Leader promised the branch that the Ndoma-Egba family will complete it. His visit, he added, is to help him appraise the extent of work done so far done.
Conceived and started by Justice E. A Ubua of the Cross River State Judiciary during his tenure as theChairman of the NBA Ogoja Branch in 2011 to 2012, the building is called the Justice E. T. Ndoma-Egba, JCA Bar Centre in memory of the senator’s father, the Late Justice E. T. Ndoma-Egba, the first indigenous lawyer to establish a law practice in Ogoja in 1970, immediately after the Nigerian Civil War.
On hand to receive him were the Chairman of the NBA Ogoja, Branch- Lazarus Izabi- Undie, former Chairman of the Branch- Marc Enamhe and Executive Committee members of the branch.
