Resentment As C’River PDP ‘Milks’ Local Council Aspirants

Posted on February 3, 2020February 5, 2020 By Admin No Comments on Resentment As C’River PDP ‘Milks’ Local Council Aspirants

We can reveal that there is seething resentment within the ranks of the PDP in Cross River State after it has become clear that internal processes designed for her local council primaries may have ripped several aspirants of cash running into millions of naira.

While Chairmanship aspirants coughed out N630,000 per head for expression of intent form, they were further made to part with an unreceipted for N30,000 administrative charge per head too. Councillorship aspirants paid N120,000 for expression of intent form, alongside the N30,000 admin charge. There is no indication that the various sums will be refunded.

However, after the monies were collected, the party went ahead and shut out several aspirants, choosing instead to handpick candidates from what appears to be an unpopular pool of aspirants before even holding her “affirmative get together”, as one faithful referred to her mock primaries held last weekend.

While uncertainty took over, several of those who paid the money, began to look for ways and means of getting refunds. ” We have to get our money back or the circumstances for us all will be unpleasant”, we were told. Sources inside the party told www.calitown.com that, “give us some time to sort out this thing before we talk”.
