Ukpo, Archbishop Emeritus Of Calabar Catholic Archdiocese To Be Buried March 23, 2023!

Joseph Edra Ukpo, the Archbishop Emeritus of the Catholic Archdiocese of Calabar, who passed away recently, will be buried in Calabar, Cross River State, on Thursday, March 23, 2023, a burial programme released by the Catholic Church indicates.

The released burial programme signed by Rev. Fr. Charles Etim, Chairman of the Central Planning Committee, shows that on Monday, March 20, 2023, the body of the deceased will leave Calabar and be received in Ogoja, North of CRS by the Catholic community there for a final farewell before returning to Calabar on Tuesday, March 21, 2023.

On Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at 5:00 pm, a vigil mass will take place at the Sacred Heart Cathedral, Egerton Street Calabar, preceding his lying in state on Thursday, March 23, 2023, from 7:00 am to 9:00 am.

A funeral high mass commencing at 10:00 am, takes place before interment which follows immediately. Ukpo was 85, when he passed away.
