Authorities of the University of Calabar will today, July 16, 2024, formally receive, Udom Ekpoudom, a retired Deputy Inspector-Genenral of Police, recently appointed the 15th Pro Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council, University of Calabar ahead of a familiarization visit and formal reception ceremony to be held in his honour.

The first Akwa Ibom state indigene to be so appointed, Ekpoudom, a distinguished police officer, is expected to be a distinct guiding light for Unical, throughout the period he serves in this capacity.

The event is billed to hold at the university’s International Conference Centre. Florence Banku Obi, Vice Chancellor of the institution is chief host.
