UPDATE: APC Bows To Pressure, Reschedules Botched C’R Congresses

Posted on May 8, 2018 By Admin No Comments on UPDATE: APC Bows To Pressure, Reschedules Botched C’R Congresses

As a direct fallout of the rancour that trailed last Saturday’s congress of the All Progressive Congress, APC, in Cross River State, the National Executive of the party has constituted a new committee to return to the state and conduct new congresses.

A release just in from Abuja stated clearly that “…a New Committee has been constituted by the National Chairman of All Progressive Congress, John Oyegun to Conduct Wards and Local Government Area Councils Congress in Cross River State . The Chairman of the Cross River State Wards and Local Government Area Councils Congresses Committee is retired Major General AT Umar from Nassarawa State . Recall that the Wards Congresses scheduled for Saturday the 5 May 2018 in Cross River State was stalemated and marred by allegations that some powerful chieftains of the Party tried to hijack the process !”, the statement said.

Party watchers, www.calitown.com can reveal, have been daggers drawn over the inconsistencies of last Saturday’s process and the rescheduled exercise should adequately right the wrongs.
