Posted on March 27, 2025 By Admin No Comments on UPDATED: College Of Nursing Ogoja Bus Involved In Auto Crash While Attending Burial In Anambra
The bus at the scene of the accident.

As earlier reported, a Coaster bus belonging to the College of Nursing Sciences, Ogoja, Cross River State, independent sources have confirmed, was involved in an auto crash in Awka, Anambra State, with extensive damage to the vehicle and one person reportedly dead and 29 others sustaining various degrees of injuries.

The bus which fell into a big gutter in Awka, after what we hear is a brake failure, conveyed sympathizers and well wishers to Abatete, Anambra State, for the burial of the very popular Sunny Ezigbo, the late medical doctor of Anambra State extraction, who flourished in Ogoja, many years after setting up medical practice in Ogoja.

Predominant occupants of the vehicle were Catholic knights from the Catholic Diocese of Ogoja, Cross River State, travelling to pay their last respect to Ezigbo, one of them.

The survivors and deceased from the accident were immediately taken to the Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University Teaching Hospital, Amaku, Awka, where they have been receiving treatment while the deceased has been deposited in the morgue.
