Aspire Foundation Set To Hold Induction, April 1st, 2023

Posted on March 31, 2023March 31, 2023 By Admin No Comments on Aspire Foundation Set To Hold Induction, April 1st, 2023

A non-governmental organisation, the Aspire Educational Foundation, has concluded plans to hold a beneficiary induction ceremony for the first batch of persons to receive financial support for indigent students in Ugep, Yakurr LGA, as part of the organization’s support for people from less privileged backgrounds, to help them pursue academic or skills training programmes.

Usani

Kasi O. Usani, a UK-based, engineer, consultant and Chairman, Board of Trustees of the Foundation, who spoke with www.calitown.com, informed that the ceremony will hold on Saturday, April 1st, 2023, at the Obol Ubi Ujong Inah Conference Hall, Ugep, Yakurr LGA.

Usani further informed that, this carefully thought out initiative was designed as a strategy to give back to society, especially his immediate community, in a way that will inspire the younger generation to aspire to achieve excellence and greater heights in future endeavors. He was particular that, apart from this induction ceremony, the Foundation will organize sensitization, mentorship and empowerment workshops/ seminars to create awareness on the need to acquire livelihood knowledge and/ or skills as well as mentor beneficiaries on how best to develop and advance their chosen skills and careers.

At the event, the Foundation is offering two categories of awards to selected beneficiaries, in the scholarship and apprenticeship awards. The scholarship awards are targeted at 10 selected students from Ugep Urban who are on enrolment at each of the public secondary schools and tertiary institutions respectively, while the apprenticeship awards are offered to 12 selected indigent trainees enrolled to acquire livelihood skills in their preferred vocations/trades.

The inductees were carefully selected through an objective process administered through due process to produce the final list of successful candidates. The determination of the high cumulative performances of candidates in their last three years of academic examinations, as well as the assessment, to authenticate the low income status of the families of the beneficiaries, were strong points considered.

The Aspire Educational Foundation was incorporated on January 25th, 2022.
