Abam, Nigeria’s new Ambassador to Italy.

While Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari has accordingly assigned portfolios to the 52 non-career and 43 career ambassadors screened last year by the Senate, one name on the list, Mfawa Omini Abam, is from Cross River State, www.calitown.com can reveal.

The Ugep, Yakurr LGA born Abam who studied French in the University of Calabar, taught at the Holy Child Secondary School, Ikom, shortly after graduation, before joining the Ministry of Foreign Affairs where he diligently built a career, was the Chief of Protocol, of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Nigeria before his elevation as the country’s Ambassador to Italy. He is married with kids.
