CALABAR: Mob Tears WAEC & NIMC Offices Apart

Posted on October 24, 2020 By Admin No Comments on CALABAR: Mob Tears WAEC & NIMC Offices Apart

Offices of the West African Examinations Council, WAEC as well as the National Identity Management Commission, NIMC in Calabar, Cross River State, have in the last one hour been completely vandalized by mobs of people who appear to have hidden under the #endsars protests to vandalize government and private property in Calabar.

A www.calitown.com reporter on the ground maintains that the mob, numbering more than 800, appear to have carefully planned this onslaught, beginning from the NDDC office on the Murtala Mohammed highway, stripping the offices of all office equipment, ripping off doors, airconditioners, generators and anything valuable, before carting them away. All sensitive equipment in the NIMC office were taken away with some of those perpetrating this carnage even attempting to rip off the main gate.

The very busy Murtala Mohammed highway, Calabar, is a ghost of herself with almost no vehicular movement. Security presence was nil until hours after the carnage when an approaching convoy of riot police trucks made the mob scamper off, returning almost immediately to mop up vandalized items.
