The police in Calabar, Cross River State have arrested one Godswill Ezekiel Ugbe, a middle aged man, for attempting to sell his employer’s car, a Toyota Camry with Reg No : KT 114 LH, for a paltry N350,000 ( three hundred and fifty thousand naira) in Calabar.

Ugbe was arrested by the Anti Kidnapping and Cultism Squad, AKCS, while driving the car to the potential buyer in nearby Akpabuyo LGA.

Investigations revealed, after he was chased down and accosted by AKCS, that Godswill Ugbe, whose employer lives abroad, was employed as a gate man and security guard to watch over his employer’s building and two cars. It was one of the cars he was going to sell when he ran out of luck.

Contacted, Police Public Relations Officer, Cross River State, Irene Ugbo, a DSP, confirmed the arrest adding that the suspect will soon be charged to court .
