Calabar’s “Temple Run” Is Back, One Killed In CRUTECH

Posted on October 3, 2019 By Admin No Comments on Calabar’s “Temple Run” Is Back, One Killed In CRUTECH

VIEWER DISCRETION IS ADVISED

While Calabar, the Cross River State capital may have recently enjoyed some respite from cult related clashes and killings, that respite has just been shattered with the gruesome murder of a 24 year old student (name witheld) of the Cross River State University of Technology, CRUTECH, this afternoon, www.calitown.com can report.

On the ground sources in the institution say the deceased was killed in front of the Students Union Government, SUG, Secretariat, suffering gruesome matched cuts to the neck, after he was reportedly shot at close range. Sporadic gunshots followed as pandemonium took over with several staff and students running for their lives. We further gathered that the Senate of the institution was meeting at the time of this incident, while a vehicle loaded with security personal sat idle at the gate.

The deceased

The police who have since swung into action, has not fingered any of the several suspected cult groups in the institution as prime suspects for this attack but spokesperson, Irene Ugbo, a Deputy Superintendent of Police, DSP, confirmed the killing to www.calitown.com, when contacted and further assured that “our men are on the ground”.

The incessant cult clashes in Calabar, with her negative effect on business and social lives, have long been christened “Temple Run” by inhabitants of the city, taking a cue from the endless running American video game developed, produced, designed and programmed by husband and wife team, Keith Shepherd and Natalia Luckyanova.
