While the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has announced its readiness for the Saturday, Feb. 3 2024 rerun Obanliku State Constituency election in Cross River, House of Representatives member for Obudu/Bekwarra/Obanliku Federal Constituency, Cross River State, Peter Akpanke, has insisted that “the people should be allowed to choose a candidate of their choice.”

Akpanke who spoke when he addressed the press, reminded the people that, “election is not war” and that, INEC should ensure that those ineligible to vote, do not vote at the election.
