Foremost women group, the Exquisite Royal Pearls Club, says it will remain motivated to attend largely to the needs of women and girls because of the club’s entrenched values of empathy, compassion, and community development.

Jesam Obeten, who heads the club, made this disclosure in Ugep, Yakurr LGA, when the club lit up Leboku 2024, with the free distribution of hygiene essentials and food stuff worth millions of naira to women and girls in the area.
She equally maintained to www.calitown.com that, the club is particular about giving back to the community through deliberate schemes and initiatives, tailored to address pressing needs like they have just done. On the choice of hygiene essentials and food stuff, she came clear that, “the economy today challenges so many women and girls to the point where even having access to sanitary pads is difficult. What we have distributed is clearly not enough, but to fold our hands and not do it at all, is unacceptable by our standards as an organization.”

“Leboku presents us with a veritable platform to key our hope, empowerment, and unity message in. We believe that by uplifting women and girls, we can build a stronger, promote cultural awareness, and foster a sense of communality.”
The organization was particularly grateful to Cyril Omini, the member representing Yakurr I State Constituency in the Cross River State House of Assembly, “for his unwavering support and partnership in this noble initiative. His commitment to the empowerment of women and girls in our community is truly commendable, and his leadership has been instrumental in making this event a success. We are honored to work alongside him and look forward to continuing our collaboration in building a brighter future for our community”, she added.
A poll of young women who spoke to www.calitown.com, expressed happiness at the club’s gesture, praying that God grants them the grace to do more.
