Former C’River Accountant General Kidnapped!

Posted on December 7, 2022 By Admin No Comments on Former C’River Accountant General Kidnapped!

Rose Bassey, former Cross River State Accountant General, was yesterday kidnapped by yet to be identified persons on the Iwuru to Uyanga stretch of the Ikom/Calabar highway, gradually becoming notorious for very recent kidnappings for ransom.

Family sources who spoke with www.calitown.com revealed that she was in company of her driver and mechanic, between the hours of four and five in the evening, when she was taken yesterday. “Mma has a farm at Ekpri-iko, after Iwuru in Biase LGA. Since she retired, she has devoted time to farming and those who took her, carefully left out her mechanic and driver; we want to believe that those who took her, know her well enough. We are distraught and are praying for her safe return”, a family source told us.

More details shortly!
