Former PDP Senatorial Aspirant Joins SDP

Abam, addressing the SDP gathering.

A former Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, senatorial aspirant in Cross River State who resigned from the party a few months ago, Kammonke Abam, has joined the Social Democratic Party, SDP.

Abam was cited at the inauguration of the executive of the Cross River State Chapter of SDP in Calabar yesterday.

He is believed to have resigned from PDP in protest at what he described as a deliberate attempt to deny the Old Obubra axis of the Central Senatorial District of the party’s ticket.
