Contrary to gist making the rounds that immediate past Commissioner for Works, CRS, and governorship hopeful, Legor Idagbo has opted out of the governorship race and settled instead for election into Nigeria’s House of Representatives, the man at the centre of it all has just informed www.calitown.com via a text message that he is still in the race for governor, CRS.

On the strength of the rumour, www.calitown.com got in touch with Idagbo and asked thus; “Have you abandoned the governorship and picked a House of Representatives form”, in three precise words he replied, “No my brother”.

Reacting to this piece of information, Idagbo’s campaign page on Facebook published a statement that; “Our attention has been drawn to the rumours making the rounds that Barrister Legor Idagbo has dropped out of the race to succeed His Excellency Senator Liyel Imoke as the next Executive Governor of Cross River State. We reassure our supporters that nothing can be farther from the truth. We remain committed to our aspiration to continue the excellent work of the current administration. We urge all our supporters to remain steadfast in their support and continue to spread the positive message of our campaign. Continue to BELIEVE, because TOGETHER WE CAN. God bless Cross River State”.
