“Make Peace Or Leave Yakurr” … Yakurr Monarch

Posted on May 2, 2014 By Admin No Comments on “Make Peace Or Leave Yakurr” … Yakurr Monarch

Ubi UjongPalace sources have informed www.calitown.com that the Obol Lopon of Ugep and Paramount Ruler of Yakurr LGA, His Royal Highness Obol Ubi Ujong Inah, is insisting that Usumutong and Ediba communities in Abi LGA must go ahead and embrace peace or indigenes of both communities who do business in Yakurr LGA or have taken refuge in Yakurr, on the heels of the recent communal clash in Abi, will be forced to leave Yakurr.

The monarch is particularly irked by the seeming intractable nature of this conflict unarguably between blood brothers and frowns at the guerilla tactics employed by both communities in the execution of the conflict. While several persons are still unaccounted for, that both communities are blind to the negativr outcome of any communal clash, is why Obol Inah feels that only an extreme measure from him and his Yakurr communities can drive the feuding communities to the peace table.

For government, Obol Inah is convinced that her commitment to peace in the area is not in doubt but will prefer to see more practical approaches on the part of government, in tackling what is a very unfortunate sitation.
