A manhunt is on for one Jam Valentine Imoter, suspected to be the leader of a kidnap gang that successfully kidnapped one Mathias Odo in Okuku, Yala Local Government Area, Cross River State, before the kidnap was aborted by residents of the area, working with security agencies.

Imoter and others still at large, we gather, struck around 5pm, this past Saturday evening, shooting sporadically into the air before making away with their victim.

Youths in large numbers were accordingly mobilized in the area and a race against time ensued. Alphonsus Eba, widely mentioned as being responsible for the mobilization, also sought and got the involvement of vigilante groups in Korinya and Ihugh, Benue State in hot pursuit of the kidnappers who abandoned the Toyota Corolla with registration number, MKD-61HJ, they were travelling in, around Vandekiya, Benue State.
