Organisers of the Mr & Miss Leboku peagent have informed www.calitown.com that the 2015 edition of the show will hold on Sunday, August 23, 2015, at the Obol Ubi Ujong Memorial Hall, Ugep, Yakurr Local Government Area, Cross River State.

Debra Rich, CEO of Debbies Entertainment Company, right holders to the competition, while speaking with www.calitown.com recently added that this year’s competition will be broader in scope and hotly contested as several contestants have indicated interest and will take part in a peagent whose top prize is normally car gifts to winners in the male and female categories. The competition which leverages on the mass appeal of the highly celebrated agrarian Leboku Festival normally witnesses a high turnout.

Additionally Rich added that, “this year’s Leboku is the first for our new monarch, His Royal Majesty, Obol Ofem Ubana Eteng, the 16th Obol Lopon of Ugep as well as for Gov. Ben Ayade who will be attending it for the first time too as governor of the state. It is a remarkable coincidence which speaks volumes for this festival and the fact that we as indigenes must show appreciation to God for giving us this kind of show stopper”.
