Peter Akpanke Receives Large Solidarity Visit Crowd

Posted on February 28, 2022February 28, 2022 By Admin No Comments on Peter Akpanke Receives Large Solidarity Visit Crowd
Akpanke, addressing the crowd in his country home.

Hundreds of men, women and children in Ketting, Bendi I, Obanliku LGA, Cross River State, came out in droves, on a solidarity visit to an illustrous son of the area, Peter Akpanke, after what was widely reported to be an attempted attack on his life, in the aftermath of Saturday’s (February 26, 2022) bye-election for the Ogoja/Yala Federal Constituency seat.

Elated by this show of love and concern from his people, a visibly awed Akpanke informed www.calitown.com that, “my people came out in their numbers to check up on me after they got the news that the life of their son was threatened. I am elated and humbled because power comes from God and only him can take all the glory. To everyone who reached out to me after the news got online, I say a very big thank you. Here is a gentle reminder that “those who kill by the sword, die by the sword”.

While maintaining that, “yes, De Rock is solid as ever”, he however insisted on personal grounds to leave out certain details as security agents have swiftly swung into action. The said attack is not unconnected to his political leaning and a desire to contest for an elective position in next year’s polls.
