Gyogon Augustine Grimah, the Cross River State Commissioner of Police, has confirmed the recovery of the three missing persons from Saturday’s boat mishap at the Marina Resort, Calabar, Cross River State.

While addressing newsmen at the resort, Grimah maintained that the collaborative efforts of local divers and specialized security agents, led to the discovery of the bodies, more than 48 hours after they drowned in circumstances that have since led to the closure of the resort by a state government directive.

While the identities of the deceased have so far been kept under wraps, until their families have been adequately informed, sources however maintain that one of the deceased is a medical student of the University of Uyo, while the remaining two are from the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. The bodies have since been deposited in the morgue.
