We can confirm that key CR gubernatorial aspirant, Fidelis Ugbo has formally withdrawn from the Cross River PDP gubernatorial race and will consequently take no part in the governorship primaries scheduled to hold today December 8, 2014.

According to a release mailed to www.calitown.com by the Ugbo Campaign Organization, “this decision is in the interest of the party which is in dire need of peace, unity and cohesion especially at this critical period”.

The release adds that “…as a loyal and committed party man, he would continue to place premium on the interest and success of the PDP where he remains a key stakeholder”, the release concluded.
