The new national alumni executive of Community Secondary Grammar School, COSGRAMS, Ugep, Yakurr LGA, Cross River State, is set for inauguration on June 22, 2023, Thomas Ofem, National Publicity Officer of the alumni, has informed www.calitown.com.

Ofem, who sent in a press statement to this effect, further revealed that veteran lawyer, Eric Ifere was elected President, while Hodo Riman, will serve as Vice President. Gabriel Ukpenetu, Godwin Iwara and Lovelyn Eteng, will serve as Secretary, Financial Secretary and Treasurer, respectively.

Contacted, Eric Ifere, President of the alumni, maintained that, his primary desire to run for president of the COSGRAMS Alumni, “is born out of my belief that we must bequeath to our alma mater, where we were nurtured and given sound education, some of our time and gladly make material contributions towards improving the learning and character of those who follow our footsteps in the institution.”

He also came clear that, “with the new Exco in place, we will, as a united team and in collaboration with all alumni, unveil a comprehensive plan to guide the affairs of the alumni association and, more importantly, advance the interests of our alma mater.”

Cosgrams was communally established in 1963 and has on her alumni list such notable persons like former Cross River State governor, Clement Ebri, as well as a former deputy governor of the state, Iwara Esu, among other distinguished and internationally notable men and women.
