FIRS Targets Sealing Up Of Obudu Ranch Resort

Posted on August 16, 2018August 16, 2018 By Admin No Comments on FIRS Targets Sealing Up Of Obudu Ranch Resort

Unperturbed by the hue and cry that has trailed her sealing up of the Marina Resort, Calabar, for the resort’s failure to remit tax owed the Federal Government, www.calitown.com has been reliably informed that the Federal Inland Revenue Service, FIRS, has concluded plans to seal up the Obudu Ranch Resort.

“While this should not come as a surprise to you people, what should rather occupy your evaluation of our actions is the bare fact that these resorts are making money at public expense while these proceeds end up in private pockets. When we approach them and demand that their financial obligations be met, they go around in a circle and refuse to pay, but steal the money and labour to prove to you that the resorts are not bringing in anything. See, the best we can do is seal up these places or the clear their indebtedness”, our FIRS source disclosed.

On this week’s sealing up of the Marina Resort, our source came clear that the place will remain sealed up until her financial obligations are met. “The sealing up of the place was approved from our headquarters and compliance is the only way out”, he insisted.
