Executive Secretary of Basic Rights Counsel Initiative, James Ibor, a lawyer, has revealed that Christopher Edet Archibong, a retired police officer and General Overseer of the Family Prayers Network Centre in Calabar, Cross River State, was yesterday, Friday, July 6, 2017, remanded in prison custody for allegedly raping a 9-year old child in Calabar.

He accused will remain in prison custody pending his formal arraignment in court.

A source in the accused’s church who has elected to remain anonymous, informed www.calitown.com that “…our man of God is going through persecution and very soon God will put all his detractors to shame because he will receive deliverance from what the devil wants to do to this ministry.” Sources within the police contacted by our correspondent, volunteered no information on the matter.
