30-Year Old Mother Of One Killed In Ugep

Posted on March 31, 2023 By Admin No Comments on 30-Year Old Mother Of One Killed In Ugep

A 30-year old mother of one, Miracle Eteng Okoi, has been killed in Ugep, Yakurr Local Government Area, CRS, in circumstances suspected to be a ritual killing.

Sources in Ugep, Yakurr LGA, Cross River Central, say the victim, who went missing in fuzzy circumstances last Wednesday morning, was found 48 hours after, buried in a shallow grave.

Parts of her body were missing when a search party discovered her corpse. “Her father raised an alarm about her absence when he discovered that he hadn’t seen her again, late last Wednesday evening. By the next day, tension heightened when she could even not be reached on her phone and a search intensified a search for her which yeilded results as a freshly dug shallow grave was discovered. Inside the shallow grave, the heavily mutilated body of the victim, with vital parts removed, was found.

Police sources in Ugep maintain that a manhunt for perpetrators of this dastardly act has commenced with family sources insisting that “our daughter was murdered in cold blood. We are distraught and cannot for certain say why our daughter was killed other than for ritual purposes.”
