Olulumo Christmas/Cultural Festival Returns With A Bang!

Posted on November 8, 2022November 8, 2022 By Admin No Comments on Olulumo Christmas/Cultural Festival Returns With A Bang!

The annual Olulumo Christmas/Cultural Festival, celebrated by the Okuni community in Ikom Local Government Area, Cross River Central, is “returning with a bang this year”, organizers of the event have maintained to www.calitown.com

Chairman, Ono Eba and Secretary, Victor Obagha Atimba, of the Local Organizing Committee, Olulumo Cultural Association, OCA, who made this disclosure, further stated that this year ending two-day event will take place on December 26, 2022 and January 2, 2023, at the Okuni playground.

We were further informed that this year’s event will witness an expanded offering of multiple cultural dances, masquerade displays, a Mr/Miss Olulumo paegent, and an assortment of music served by the irrepressible multi-instrumentalist, Jolly Papa, among other indigenous entertainers. Sons and daughters of the community as well as the public are invited to witness this event.

This cultural festival seeks to “rejuvenate the strong, long-lost bonds of Olulumo tradition; love, unity and commonality”, and also works at promoting unity, cultural harmony as well as foster security and peace in the community.
