It was music, food, good wishes and lots of laughter late Saturday evening as former National Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Venatius Ikem, turned 50 and celebrated with family, friends and politicians alike. Glad to be 50, Ikem told www.calitown.com that “…he is happy to be 50”. For those yet to attain 50, “God will grant them the grace to be 50 and counting”, he said.

Asked whether turning 50 will water down the ‘fire’, the celebrator was quick to say that, “being 50 may make me approach things differently but my convictions will not change largely, the passion to push the convictions too will not change, just like the courage will always be there”.

Sandy Onoh, former Commissioner of Environment, CRS, present at the occasion, told www.calitown.com that “as Vena celebrates 50, my prayer is that may he become straighter, blunter, more virile and vivacious. He cannot afford to change his personality now, he will just be undoing himself”, he concluded. Ikem later cut his birthday cake with family and friends to the admiration of all present.
